Heartland is expanding its services to provide urgent care needs for all women! We’re seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Certified Nurse Midwife to join our team and help provide the best clinical care to the community!

This role will be based strictly in the office and will require working a flexible schedule. If you’re seeking a role where you can build out a new office, are innovative, and looking to deliver the best clinical care this role is for you!

The Urgent Care will be open Monday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Job Responsibilities

  • Examine patients to obtain information about their physical condition and address their concerns
  • Administer or order diagnostic tests
  • Perform routine gynecological exams, Pap smears, breast exams, and other screenings
  • Provide family planning services, including contraceptive counseling, prescribing and fitting contraceptives, and educating patients about reproductive health
  • Provide counseling and education on sexual and reproductive health, including STD prevention, fertility awareness, and preconception care
  • Prescribe therapy or medication as needed and within clinical scope
  • Instruct and counsel patients about prescribed medications and health maintenance
  • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses

Job Requirements

  • Master of Science in degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Midwife Program required.
  • Preferred 5+ years of experience in family medicine and women’s health
  • Current state licensure in Illinois
  • Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care required
  • DEA and CDS eligible
